Children’s Ministries

 The Mt. Pleasant Church has a wonderful Children’s ministry.  We offer a variety of programs for children, infant – 6^th grade.  Our teachers and helpers are committed to providing a learning environment where our children are taught the love of the LORD Jesus Christ.

 Our Children’s ministry consists of fully staffed nurseries, Sunday School classes for ages 2 yrs. –  6^th graders, children’s worship during the 11:00 worship service, scheduled Sunday evening activities and a full program for all ages on Wednesday nights.

 Nurseries – Our infant (ages 0-1) and toddler (ages 1-2) nurseries are available on Sunday mornings during the Sunday worship services and Sunday school hour. On Wednesday evening we have a combined nursery for children ages 0-2.

 Sunday School –In our Sunday School Hour the children participate in an opening song time and a lesson time. Our Sunday school classes are designed in such a way that children enjoy learning about the Bible. We understand that every student is different and has individual needs; that is why we provide a learning environment where student are able to interact with the lesson and apply what they have learned to their life.  

 Children’s Worship - Our Children’s worship time is divided into two levels, Wee church and Junior church. Wee church is for 2 & 3 year olds. Here the children have a shorten lesson time, finger plays and songs, snack and play time. Our Junior church children (ages 4 - 2^nd graders) remain with their parents and sing praises to God together as a family before being dismissed from the 11:00 Worship Service to then participate in the their own worship time lesson and activities.

 Sunday Evening – Our Sunday evening program consists of Junior Quiz Team (2^nd – 5^th graders) and Senior Quiz Team (6th - 12th graders) Bible study and practices.  They  meet every week from January through May.

 Wednesday Nights – On Wednesday evening our children have an opportunity to participate in the Angel choir ( ages 3 – K) and the Hosanna Kids choir ( grades 1 – 6).  In addition to the choirs we offer a teaching time for all children (ages 2 – grade 6^th). They are taught lessons that incorporate learning truths from the Bible using a hands-on perspective. Our goal is to introduce the children to Jesus Christ and start a growing relationship with him.

 In addition to these programs our children take part in different projects and activities throughout the year.  We realize the importance of giving children an opportunity to expand their view and help them see the importance of doing God’s work in our community and worldwide.
